👇 Here’s how to get yours, I used OpenAI + my Google data to make my G-Cal Wrapped. 👇

First go to your Google Calendar, find Settings, then find Import & Export. Hit the Export button and you’ll download a zip file with your email address in the file name. This will give you all of your G-Cal data for the year.

Unzip it, find the file in .ics format. Then ask chatGPT to write you some python code that turns the .ics file into a .csv.

After you have that, you’ll need to work with ChatGPT to write more custom queries from that .csv file. Ask chat to write python code that finds your top recurring meetings, your meeting with the most days, the time of day with the most meetings, etc—whatever you want to analyze.

Once you have those data reports, you’ll lay out the design of your G-Cal Wrapped (I used Adobe Photoshop). I bought some pre-designed assets from Creative Market, in the gen-z "visual barf" aesthetic that Spotify typically uses in their Wrapped designs.

Once everything was laid out, you’ll then add some cheesy, pre-built animations in AfterEffects, and export the video. Finally, record yourself pretending to be enthusiastic about a fake product feature, edit it together, then post to Instagram—easy!
