Do you ever feel like you're living in a movie? Well now you can find out which cinematic masterpiece is most like your life. 

I built this site because I love Criterion Collection films and I wanted to try building an interactive way of learning about more of them. I found a dataset of Criterion films on Kaggle that contained information like titles, directors, descriptions and cover images for about 1,300 films. But to build a dynamic matching system, I needed more data. So I used OpenAI's GPT to read the description of each film, combine that description with what GPT might know about the film from its training on internet data, and rank each film in 50 different categories. Then I built a user interface that asks people to rank their lives on the same categories, and a backend system that matches people with a film that is most like their lives.
